- Find an animation of about 30 seconds, it could be used to advertise something or as information. You may find one either on TV, on a web page, at the cinema, on a data screen in town, in a museum etc.
- Describe the animation; story line, type of animation, effects used.
- Say why you like the animation.

Flash
Task 1: Pool table
a) Create the background, balls and cue stick on separate layers
b) Convert objects to be animated to a graphic - select the object, modify, convert to symbol. (The object will now be in your library and can be used as often as you like)
c) Now you need to animate: right click and insert key frames along the timeline for the graphic objects you wish to animate.
d) To get the computer to animate your graphics you need to highlight the layer go to insert and choose classic tween.
Don't forget to save your work!
Task 2: Basket ball
Using the same technique as you did for the pool table create an animation of a basket ball bouncing and going through a hoop. (if you get stuck there is an example in I:\Computing\Y10\Term 1\Flash)
Task 3: Flash Shooting Game
In the I:\Computing\Y10\Term 1\Flash\Flash shooting game folder, you will find instructions on how to adapt the game.
a) Open the instructions fgamepart1 document
b) Open the flash game and save this to your user area
c) Follow the instructions to make changes to the flash game
Task 4: Flash Shooting Game - Extension activity
Once you have made your own version of the shooting game, you should open the Action script (by pressing F9) and make further changes to improve the game. Make sure that you copy the code into a word document before you make changes and then copy the code with the changes and explain what you have changed and the effect this has.
